CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person has died following an early-morning crash in Berkeley County.
Troopers say the crash happened at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday when a truck crashed into a tree.
SCHP says a Ford F-150 was traveling east on Gaillard Road when it ran a stop sign near Old Highway 52.
There was only one occupant in the truck when it crashed and troopers say the driver was not wearing their seatbelt. SCHP Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell says the driver died on the scene.
